E-Verify
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has improved its electronic employment eligibility verification system. Formerly known as the Basic Pilot Program, the new program is called E-Verify.
For now, the program is voluntary. However, DHS intends to issue regulations later this year requiring government contractors and vendors to participate.
