Why Do You Work?
Good question. My hunch is that for most of us we don’t work just to pay the bills. What gives you the energy to get up and face every day at the office?
- Is work simply a necessary obligation for you?
- Is your profession your creative outlet?
- Is your current job a stepping-stone to your career ambitions?
- Will your job help you reach your dream?
Why do you work?

I work because one day I want to retire and bounce grandkids on my knee.

Yes, I work JUST to pay the bills. I’ve been in the working world for over 11 years and would definitely be considered “succesful.” I am very good at what I do, but I absolutely detest getting up and going to work everyday. I’ve tried different jobs, etc… but there is nothing I can think of that I would actually enjoy doing that I would get paid for. I feel like I am in prison for 8 hours each day. Everyday, I can’t wait until it is time to go home.
